Maybe an "easy target Althousery tag" has become necessary? Anyhow.
In the past month, the protests have been overwhelmingly — almost embarrassingly — white, but the event I encountered today was in-your-face of-color...
Annnnnnnnnd (same post):
A vivid public square is a fine thing. I love it. I celebrate diversity. But the cause of the teachers and the public employees unions brought out the crowds and made the Capitol square the cool place to hang out, and the opportunistic politicos have descended.
There goes the neighborhood!
Perhaps, going forward, Althouse will patiently gesticulate in the manner of semaphores or similar as to whether or not the moment is propituous for non-white people to register their opinions in a wholly tasteful manner as regards issues of public import.
(The thing about Althouse is that to make fun of her, all you need to do is, well, link and point.)
MAS. Dredged from those comments:
There are conceivable responses to the foregoing, but not ones that would please Mr. Galt, in his gulch, mayhap.
Anyhow, it's definitely clear that nobody else could ever do what Althouse does, or at least, could continue to do that thing, and stand it, though I suppose getting well paid for it helps.
MAS. "Manservant Hecubus"! That's who she married! I knew the fellow's name would come to me eventually.
Considering that Althouse makes something like three times what a teacher does, should we describe her as "exceedingly-well paid, luxuriously privileged"?
Can you morons get off this?
Althouse is much more specialized and skilled than a public elementary or high school teacher.
Don't you morons know anything about how the system works?
There are 100 candidates for every elementary and high school teaching position.
There are few suitable candidates for Althouse's position.
