Here are some Downy Woodpeckers enjoying a suet deluxe meal.
The mountain started putting on its green suit this week.
Speaking of green suits, here's a Six-Spotted Tiger Beetle (not to be confused with the cursed Emerald Ash Borer).
Here's a Gerri bug.
Last but not least, Theda shows how one is supposed to drink a creek.
P.S. For the non-Biggie-sizers amongst us:

My 2nd bite of the apple: Carmi's Thematic Photographic 216, Fall Colors. These pictures were all taken at Scioto Audubon Metro Park on Saturday.
These are a few of the large group of egrets and herons that were having great success fishing in the Scioto River.
Blackpoll Warbler, perhaps? They were slightly smaller than the nearby sparrows, and more determined to stay in the marsh grass.
These fungi were the size of salad bowls (the largest was about a foot in diameter). Polypores, I presume.

Carmi's Thematic Photographic 215 is Shiny. This is a Shiny 1954 Mercury in German Village.
And here we have a Spiny Softshell Turtle in Schiller Park.
Also at Schiller, the Painted Lady butterflies were out in force.
Last but not least, a FINE patch of Datura inoxia in German Village.
