Megan McCardle says things on the Internet for money -- yay America!
This is a pathetically arrogant post. McArdle's maundering as to the scientific question of whether or not humans are changing the climate is solely based upon how she thinks people are talking to her:
As longtime readers known [sic], I have been extremely critical of the attitude that some climate scientists seem to have developed towards dissent, and what you might call the PR aspect of their work.
"Dissent"? "Attitude"? Grow up. And what's with the "some" here? Who? Which climate scientists? This one, maybe?
But this... is fucking incredible:
Nonetheless, I am quite convinced that the planet is warming, and fairly convinced that human beings play a role in this. (When you've got Reason's Ron Bailey, Cato's Patrick Michaels, and Jonathan Adler, you've convinced me).
Fuck the scientists! If they really knew their shit, they'd write for glib libertarian publications.
If someone is wrong about the facts, you should explain to them, calmly and concisely, why they are wrong. If it's really that obvious, it shouldn't be hard to convince them.
Chisel that on the national gravestone, won't you, our cockroach successors? Thanks!
MAS. Enjoy the carnage over Darwin in McCurdle's comments. The only truly damning evidence that evolution is false may there be discovered.
