After years of observing Idiot America (thank you, Mr. Pierce!), you'd think that they just can't top themselves again, but that press conference has to be seen to be believed. Non-stop insane gibberish.

Ah ha!

...actively psychotic people that were more cogent and rational than those I have had with die hard repukeblicant's of late.

It just dawned on me. Repukeblican'ts are passively psychotic!

There really is no comparison between a human resources issue and the murder of 100s of thousands of people through an illegal war that also wasted billions of dollars that my great grandchildren will be paying back...but hey! if you want to try to make that case have at blog monkeys.

What "human resources issue" are you referring to? Is that the Obama administration's latest excuse for not releasing the torture photos, or logs of White House visitors, or using the "state secrets" claim to quash lawsuits against the telecoms that participated in illegal wiretaps?

Don't you think being outraged about this stuff when Bush did it and then passing it off as a "human resources issue" when Obama does it also a double standard?

SteveB,
The Nixonian note was sounded again in the Obama administration's response to Republicans who are pressing for information on the firing of AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin. It appears that Obama's firing of Walpin was both illegal and politically motivated, and his aides are circling the wagons, hoping the issue will go away without their having to provide information to Congress.

Thanks, Jake. Just a suggestion: give a link to the post itself, since they post a lot (of shit) over there.

And I have to say that the Obama administration's penchant for secrecy makes the Nixon comparison a fair one. Which doesn't mean the guys at Powerline aren't hypocritical assholes.
