What does this mean? And does anyone give a shit? I don't. I'm just saying.
I spent part of this afternoon coaching the 9-Year-Old's soccer team. We didn't get pummeled! We tied! The 9-Year-Old as goalie made at least one truly spectacular jumping save! And then during halftime he and another player wandered over next to a bush and got stung multiple times by hornets! He spent a quarter sobbing, and then I gave him two bandaids, which apparently heal hornet stings. Who knew? Then he went in for the last quarter and annoyed the forward for the opposing team by kicking the ball away from him twice ("you're not supposed to just kick it away!" the kid yelled. It was kind of weird, actually; I'm not sure what the his point was. The 9-Year-Old just shrugged, which was Teh Funny). Anyway the 9-Year-Old seems to be happier playing defense or goalie, which is fine by me. I like that he's getting braver; this year he'll get in the way of someone charging at him. Last year he would just take a kick at the ball, which never works. Now he just needs to learn about not bothering hornets while a game is on. One step at a time!
I have no patience for "Lipstick-Gate," but I did manage to see this video of the Wingnut Reaction. Feh.
