And Shit Yeah It's Cool
The Editors present their version of the etiology of the Left Blogosphere, a documentary account that differs in several key respects from the canonical narrative I cited here.
The Editors' revisionism is intriguing and no doubt well intentioned. However, it remains ideologically blinkered by its fashionable theoretical approach to the subject. A more deeply considered historical perspective is required, as further research into the primary source material continues to demonstrate. In this regard, I believe the following archival footage speaks for itself.

:D lol.
..I've seen a couple of attempts on a history of the blogosphere before. It's.. exactly as funny every time. Because you sort of have to be a Bush- creature to think that way, no - to want to draw up a definitive narrative in three paragraphs, on how everything fits together.

You mean, of course, to write "The Editors presents his version ..." How can you claim to have plumbed the awful depths of early lefty blogging if you don't even know that The Editors are singular ?
I bet you haven't read anything written since the Iliad -- that includes the Odyssey (I mean the Odyssey is part of what you haven't read not that it is part of the Iliad).

Robert, The Editors did not *begin* as The Editors, and while I respect the pseudonym, I have much greater love for the Singularity.
