Captain, All Your Shore Leave Coming in
Red State, predictably, splooges over the Politico's latest Clenis porn, in which we're informed that Slick Willy is illicitly fondling the taxpayer's teats. Among other sins, this evil man is conning us into paying exorbitant retirement dough! Oh noes! The evidence:
The Clintons have made a $100-million fortune since leaving the White House, but a Politico analysis found that hasn’t kept Bill Clinton from taking full advantage of the publicly funded perks offered to ex-presidents.
In fact, his presidential retirement benefits cost taxpayers almost as much as those of the other two living ex-presidents combined.
Wow. Gosh.
It certainly is a shock that someone who had a job for eight years has earned about the same retirement benefits as two people who held the same job for four years each.
Leave it to the razor-sharp reporting sleuths at the Politico to uncover such blatant corruption.
Shoot me now...

y'know, once upon a time, I could *swear* that we all knew that the Politico was brought to us by Drudge Enterprises, and should thus be shunned.
any time you hear Hugh Hewitt talk about a news website as being insightful and fair, little bells should go off in your head, and the "news website" should be reviled and made mock of.

Screw the Politico, these accursed rightwing nutbags should be marginalized.
A-list bloggers (and the rest of us) could do a lot of good simply by treating The Politico the way we want our elected officials to treat Faux News.

Red State splooged?
I could have sworn they said that they were a family blog.

The Bush family has long been worth several hundred million dollars, but a Politico analysis found that hasn’t kept George H. W. Bush from taking full advantage of the publicly funded perks offered to ex-presidents.
I'm sure that'll be the lead graf of the next Politico expose, won't it?

Did you know that after six and a half years of Bush administration policies, the middle class is struggling to succeed in an economy that is leaving more and more Americans behind?
It's true! Why, I know this one middle-class family that's barely averaged a $12.5 million increase per year in their net worth since Bush became President!
Fortunately, Hillary Clinton understands that a vibrant middle class is essential to America's prosperity, and will implement a broad set of policies to once again restore opportunity for all Americans.
I just can't wait til she's President!
