Parallel Lines on a Slow Decline

An Epic Battle of Internets Laughingstocks!

Ann Althouse v. Lee Siegel.

No, really. They're having a fight. It is easily one of the most hilariously retarded exhibitions ever witnessed, ever. God, I hope these two admit their fighting is really just flirting and get married. That would be great.

Fortunately, there is video.

Fortunately?

Yes, that video was fortunate.

Thank you. I needed to be filled with delight right about now.

What if somebody posted comments on Althouse's blog as 'Sprezzatura'? Would she say 'prove to me that you're really Lee Siegel posing as Sprezzatura'?

Oh, and I can't imagine how anyone who read Siegel's comment could possibly think it was anyone other than Siegel.

Oh, and I can't imagine how anyone who read Siegel's comment could possibly think it was anyone other than Siegel.

I can imagine it easily. Just think of a profoundly stupid person. It is certainly difficult to imagine someone that stupid but with practice you'll get there.

> Oh, and I can't imagine how anyone who read Siegel's comment could possibly think it was anyone other than Siegel.

Althouse the Perennially Misinterpreted found it "inconceivable... that Lee Siegel could be dumb enough" to interpret this—

I'm tempted to condemn the practice just because I can't stand Glenn Greenwald. And the truth is I never liked Lee Siegel.

—as indicating that she "condemned" him as well.

"Inconceivable." (You keep using that word, etc., etc.)

I have had a visitation from The Spirit of Integriticity, and i have been left the worse for eet.

Presenting: The l@lthouse

¡Vamanos!

Just when I take her off the RSS feed 'cause I think she can't sink any lower...

And goddamnit if neither Althouse nor Siegal seem to be able to figure out the difference between anonymity, pseudonymity, and sockpuppetry.

Althouse is also confused about the difference between fraud and parody.

You know, I posted this a couple of days ago at Atrios'...

No respect, I tells ya... no respect at all!!!

Well, it's better than bottling it up, isn't it? He was a gentleman, Sprezzatura, and what's more he knew how to treat an Ann Althouse impersonator!
