Snorting Magic Dolphins

Ah, Peggy Noonan. You always say the craziest things!

This is a piece about Thursday night's Republican presidential debates, but first I would like to note that the media's fixation with which Republican is the most like Reagan, and who is the next Reagan, and who parts his hair like Reagan, is absurd, and subtly undermining of Republicans, which is why they do it. Reagan was Reagan, a particular man at a particular point in history. What is to be desired now is a new greatness....

They should stop it already, and Republicans should stop playing along.

The media is forcing the Republican candidates to compare themselves with The Mighty Gipper of Legend...?

Sorry, Pegs. Those fellers jumped headfirst into that brier patch all by themselves...

Reagan was in incompetent shallow boob who will be regarded by historians as "almost as bad as Bush II" and the media still continues to cover for his malignant idiocy.

I look forward to the day when the last members of that generation of supply-side Reagan worshippers dies off and that sad and demented little man will be judged, properly, by his acts and not by his over-hyped media image.

Peggy Noonan makes me nervous.

I had much the same reaction to the debate as Cliff Schecter, who said: "If I were playing a Reagan reference drinking game, I'd be Paula Abdul by now."

so.
