Hail, WIngnuttia!
Charles Krauthammer, in a fey swipe at Obama:
It is inevitable, I suppose, that advocates of one social policy or another will try to use the Virginia Tech massacre for their advantage. But it is simply dismaying that a serious presidential candidate should use it as the ideological frame for his set-piece issues.
And.... on cue, enter K-Lo, gushing about Fred Thompson in a post entitled "He Is Good":
Fred Thompson:
"Whenever I've seen one of those "Gun-free Zone" signs, especially outside of a school filled with our youngest and most vulnerable citizens, I've always wondered exactly who these signs are directed at. Obviously, they don't mean much to the sort of man who murdered 32 people just a few days ago."
To be fair, the previous post at the Corner enjoining its readers to go read Krauthammer was posted a full 45 minutes before K-Lo squirted her squishy, so perhaps the sell date on K-Ham's point of moral outrage had already expired.
A half hour seems about the typical lifespan for a moral principle as consistently applied to American politics over in those squalid regions of the Internets, so I'd say K-Lo's on pretty safe grounds.

Did you see the Glenn Greenwald post?

I can't believe anyone publishes Krauthammer's whiny lickspittle-
"But in a trade-off that a decent and tolerant society makes with open eyes, we allow freedom from straitjackets to those on the psychic edge, knowing that such tolerance runs very rare but very terrible risk."
As we all know it's the bleeding-heart LIBERALS who shut down all state psych. facilities (not daddi-Regan!) What an A-hole.
